The Kitemark Insurers Actually Ask For
BS3621 is the British Standard most home insurers require on final-exit doors.
If your locks don’t carry the BS3621 kitemark, an insurer can question a claim — and many older euro cylinders offer almost no protection against snapping. A 3-star TS007 anti-snap cylinder is often a small, inexpensive change that makes the single biggest difference to how secure your door really is.
Max tells you whether what you’ve got measures up, and exactly what (if anything) needs changing to meet standard — no pressure either way.
